Brewing a Caffeine-Free Future: My Journey With Herbaly

This year, I decided to embrace a lifestyle change by going fully caffeine-free. This isn’t the first time I’ve tried, but this is by far the longest I’ve ever gone without relapse!

In the previously linked blog post from January 2019, I gave up caffeine for 7 days and gave up before I hit the 10-day mark. It’s unfortunate I hadn’t stuck it out just a little bit longer back then because they say after 10 days, you basically bypass the physical withdrawal symptoms and it becomes a purely psychological dependency at that point.

Beginning January 18th, 2024, I vowed to eliminate all traces of caffeine from my diet—not just the obvious culprits like green tea, but even decaf options and chocolate.

Over the past 14 weeks, I’m excited to share that I haven’t wavered even once. This is the longest stretch I’ve gone being caffeine-free since I first became a tea drinker, and certainly, the closest I’ve ever been to a permanent lifestyle change.

Why go caffeine-free, you might ask?

Well, I had a few different reasons. Firstly, I wanted to reconnect with nature in a way that also nurtures my body without the dependency on stimulants that I’ve grown so accustomed to over the past decade. This decision meant saying goodbye to my beloved daily ritual of Longjing Dragonwell green tea. However, I’ve found delightful replacements that not only satisfy my tea cravings but also offer a ton of health benefits.

This is where Herbaly comes into the picture.

Why Herbaly?

I’m quite selective about brand sponsorships, often passing up more offers than I accept. However, Herbaly stood out with its commitment to crafting herbal teas that are not only caffeine-free but are designed with wellness in mind.

Herbaly has managed to blend health and flavor in a cup, making each sip a part of my wellness routine.

The Herbaly Unboxing: Let’s See What’s Inside!

About a month ago, I received this box in the mail containing an assortment of products sold by Herbaly. In the following unboxing video, I take a look inside to see which products I’ve received!

Inside the Box

To give you all a closer look at these wonderful products, I’ve included a video of me unboxing the Herbaly shipment. This visual snippet is just the beginning of exploring what Herbaly has to offer. Check out the video below to see the neat packaging and the vibrant array of products I received!

Here’s what I was given the opportunity to sample:

1. Glucose: Functional TeA

This tea has been a game-changer. Each of the 30 pyramid bags is packed with a blend of 12 natural ingredients like Gymnema leaf, milk thistle seed, and fenugreek seed, to name a few. The natural dragon fruit flavor adds a subtle sweetness that makes this tea perfect even without any added sweeteners.

It’s a powerhouse in both taste and health benefits.

Other ingredients include dandelion root, ginger root, holy basil leaf, fennel seed, cinnamon bark, bitter melon fruit, ginseng root, and grapefruit peel.

2. Glucose: Organic Stevia Leaf Extract

For those who prefer a little extra sweetness, this stevia extract is perfect. Just 2-7 drops of this concentrated formula enhance any drink without the guilt. Plus, it’s organic!

A few drops go a long way!

3. Heart: Pressure Balance Wellness Blend

A soothing mix including hawthorn berry, lavender flower, and chamomile, this tea is my go-to for relaxing after a long day of writing or hiking. Its calming properties are just what I need to unwind.

I don’t enjoy this one quite as much as the Glucose Functional Tea, but it’s also very good. I was happy to receive it so I could share it with my dad who has been dealing with heart issues related to caffeine consumption. (A major part of the reason behind why I’ve opted to also quit caffeine!)

Other ingredients in this blend include hibiscus flower, fennel seed, ginger root, cinnamon bark, carob seed pod, and cardamom seed.

4. Wellness: Wildcrafted Oregano Oil Capsules

These capsules have become a staple in my daily health regime. The wild Mediterranean oregano oil mixed with olive oil is packed with antioxidants and is great for immune support.

My sister’s boyfriend asked to try these and he’s been really enjoying them so far!

5. Derma: Hair, Skin, & Nails Complete + Biotin Herbal Supplement

A comprehensive supplement that supports not just overall wellness but specifically targets hair, skin, and nails. The high dose of biotin combined with natural extracts like horsetail and fo-ti root helps maintain my health from the inside out, which is essential when you’re constantly on the move.

My sister asked to try these and she’s also felt like her hair has been growing in healthier.

Integrating Herbaly Into My Daily Routine

Transitioning to a caffeine-free life hasn’t been as challenging as I anticipated, thanks to the variety and richness of Herbaly’s offerings. Whether it’s starting my day with a cup of Glucose Functional Tea or winding down with the Pressure Balance Wellness Blend, each product has added a new dimension to my daily routine.

The added ritual of using fresh mint from my own plants for a quick brew has been particularly rewarding. There’s something incredibly satisfying about using ingredients that I’ve grown myself, which aligns perfectly with Herbaly’s ethos of natural, health-focused products.

Health Benefits I’ve Noticed

Since making this switch to caffeine-free tisanes, the most noticeable changes have been my improved sleep quality and a more stable energy level throughout the day.

Cutting out caffeine has significantly reduced my anxiety levels and eliminated the mid-afternoon crashes I used to experience. The holistic ingredients in Herbaly teas, such as ginger root for digestion and cinnamon bark for blood sugar regulation, have complimented my caffeine-free lifestyle superbly. I don’t really “notice” this change quite as much but I suppose it ought to be happening.

Why Herbaly Stands Out

Herbaly isn’t just about tea; it’s about a lifestyle. The meticulous selection of ingredients reflects a dedication to supporting not just physical health but also emotional and mental well-being. From the soothing properties of lavender in the Pressure Balance tea to the immune-boosting capabilities of the oregano oil capsules, Herbaly’s products are designed to support a wide range of health aspects.
