My campus doesn’t offer many dining options. After the dining hall closes at 9 PM, your options are pretty much limited to Rutgers take-out (which is exceptionally unhealthy), Burger King (no thanks), Szechwan Ichiban (meh), or Moe’s (mmm).
This year, I eat at Moe’s several times each week. Partially because I don’t have time to eat dinner until everything else is already closed – but also because Moes has a great selection and an awesome staff. I love their nachos, burritos, and quesadillas. And I love their workers.
Maybe 2 or 3 weeks ago, the workers started making comments like, “Hey dude, I always see you here!” and “Man, I see you here almost like every day!” and I laugh because it’s true – I’m always there! Since then, we have started chit-chatting on a first-name basis. As silly as it may sound, I’ve been incredibly excited about this.
Today, I took a nap and woke up after the dining hall had already closed. I looked at my watch and when I saw the time, I said to myself, “Welp, Moe’s it is!” even though I ate there yesterday and the day before. As I was approaching the counter, the cashier saw me and said, “Hang on!” and ran into the back kitchen. He brought out the entire staff to greet me and their manager told me I am their best customer. <3
I’ve never been anyone’s best customer before! 😀 Hahaha
That’s how my roommate and I are at out vegan gf pizza place. We go there all the time because it’s one of our only options and they know what we want the second we step inside!

lol there’s lots of good ‘off campus’ options! easton ave has good selection too, but obv not something you can eat at everyday! but maybe once in awhile lol
That’s true as well! It’s less convenient for me though since I don’t go to College Ave very often.
How great to be noticed, but then you are a very noticable guy, just keep it real…..but enjoy the food if you want.
