Coming Out to My Sister

Our iPad Got So Cold Its Apps Started Shivering

The MBTI Changed My Life Forever (Story of a Gay INFJ)

INFJ – A four letter combination linked to a description that fit me PERFECTLY. I learned that INFJs are the least common of the 16 personality types and we make up around 1% of the population- and less than 0.5% are men. Suddenly everything made sense… read more

Life-Changing Revelation: Bye Business… I’m Going Pre-Med?

And almost as if the planets aligned themselves before me, the message became clear. My destiny is to become a child psychiatrist and here’s why

I Miss Having a Bird So Much

I recently read the book Alex & Me (highly recommend) so I decided to watch an interview with the author: Irene Pepperberg. What an incredible woman. I would have loved the chance to meet her and Alex before he left us.

The Story of How I Came Out to My Parents on Easter at 3AM

She asked, “Rock, is there something you need to tell us?” I stumbled a bit on my words. I really couldn’t say anything. I knew exactly where this was going and my head was already spinning… read more.

I’m Now a Brother of Delta Lambda Phi

It’s true. They say it doesn’t get any easier. If I wanted to join Delta Lambda Phi, it was probably in my best interest to do so now as a freshman. So I did.

Last Minute Unexpected Surgery is Always Fun

Oh boy… my summer vacation just got even more chaotic… I found out Thursday evening that I’m in need of surgery and well.. I have a fear of anesthesia…

Facing My Fear of Anesthesia

After undergoing an unexpected operation, Rocky awakens from his anesthesia. When the surgeon and anesthesiologist are nowhere to be found, Rocky begins to sob for he was not given a chance to thank them.

I Finally Passed Calculus

All I can say right now is HALLELUJAH. I’ve never been so excited to finish a class in my life!

My Trip to Turks and Caicos So Far

It’s really breathtaking. If there was ever an island to go to for a relaxing laid-back vibe, this is the place.

Is General Chemistry at Rutgers Hard?

My favorite was last week when we were learning about atomic shapes. It was like I was in a cartoon. I felt like I was designing Pokemon or something.

Here is a list of 5 tips on how INFJs can study smarter to perform better in college. Ok. Here we go.

Can a Type B Personality Get Into Med School?

This theory forces individuals into an A/B dichotomy and it seems I lean more towards B than A. But can a Type B person like myself succeed in a profession dominated by Type As?

This Thanksgiving My Family Gave Thanks for Stinkbugs

But there was no time for any of us to change anything. Every bowl of soup had already been poured and prepared and now it was too late to change them.

Home for the Holidays

I DID IT! I survived my first semester as a pre-med student! THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP! Couldn’t have done it without your support. 😀

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, everyone! My favorite gift this year was my $5.00 yoga block. 😉

  1. I was looking at the picture of you on the beach with the deep blue sea whilst stood waiting for a bus in the snow. Roll on summer. Thanks for sharing your shivering ipad story again. Made me laugh almost as much as the first time.

  2. So they stopped the Daily Prompt before you could do the full year’s worth. I guess technically you fulfilled your resolution to do all of the daily prompts this year…

On a more gratuitously promotional note, I’m starting a new writing challenge in early January. The prompts will be harder than the Daily Post’s Weekly Writing Challenges but they’ll only be once a week. If you’re looking for something new to do, give it a shot.

    The URL is blacklightcandelabra(dot)Wordpress(d0t)com

    1. Hi Bumblepuppies! I was so disappointed to see that a daily prompt was not posted today… Hopefully they will still put one up later so I can complete what I set out to do! Otherwise, I’ll consider my goal achieved. Anyway, I’ll check out your prompts and maybe I’ll complete them out in 2015! 🙂 Happy New Year to you!

      1. Happy New Year to you too. BTW: if you check the Daily Post homepage, you’ll see that they’ve added a “try another” button to the daily prompt box. I guess they figure that there are too few long-termers for them to keep creating new prompts when they have a massive archive. It’s kind of hard for me to disagree with that logic… if that is indeed their logic.

        1. Haha that probably IS their logic… however, they are recycling prompts from less than 2 years ago! I’m pretty sure there are prompts that are MUCH older than that. If they want to reuse some, they should bring back the REALLY old ones! Just my personal opinion.
