{"id":7425,"date":"2013-08-02T15:26:31","date_gmt":"2013-08-02T19:26:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/basicallybeyondbasic.wordpress.com\/?p=7425"},"modified":"2021-05-30T18:19:33","modified_gmt":"2021-05-30T22:19:33","slug":"lulu-for-gay-guys","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.therockysafari.com\/2013\/08\/02\/lulu-for-gay-guys\/","title":{"rendered":"Lulu for Gay Guys?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>You may have heard of a new app that has been gaining some popularity lately!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7424\" src=\"https:\/\/www.therockysafari.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/lulu-app-icon.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"192\" height=\"194\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As explained on Wikipedia, &#8220;Lulu is an app that allows women to anonymously and publicly rate men on their romantic, and sexual value and link those ratings to the man&#8217;s Facebook account. The app currently only allows women to access it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Now, I personally think this app isn&#8217;t right. Most reviews will probably make men look bad because people are naturally MUCH more inclined to review something when they are unhappy with it. In addition, they might exaggerate or lie if they just recently had a bad breakup, etc.<\/p>\n<p>While I think the app is wrong, the bottom line is that it exists and there&#8217;s nothing we can do about it. So instead of wasting time complaining about it, I think it&#8217;s better to embrace it!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-45883 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.therockysafari.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/lulu.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1023\" height=\"573\" srcset=\"\/cdn-cgi\/image\/width=1023,height=573,fit=crop,quality=80,format=auto,onerror=redirect,metadata=none\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/lulu.jpg 1023w, \/cdn-cgi\/image\/width=300,height=168,fit=crop,quality=80,format=auto,onerror=redirect,metadata=none\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/lulu.jpg 300w, \/cdn-cgi\/image\/width=768,height=430,fit=crop,quality=80,format=auto,onerror=redirect,metadata=none\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/lulu.jpg 768w, \/cdn-cgi\/image\/width=284,height=159,fit=crop,quality=80,format=auto,onerror=redirect,metadata=none\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/lulu.jpg 284w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1023px) 100vw, 1023px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The only problem: Lulu only allows women to rate men. Men can&#8217;t rate men. It&#8217;s like the app doesn&#8217;t want to acknowledge that gay men do in fact exist\u00a0and the information on there could be just as helpful to us!<\/p>\n<p>It uses the gender you identify as on Facebook to determine whether or not you are allowed to use Lulu. Instead, I think they should rethink that process and use the &#8220;Interested In&#8221; section of your profile. I think it would be cool if Lulu granted access to anyone who has indicated an interest in men because that would reach the whole audience rather than just part of it.<\/p>\n<p>What do you think?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You may have heard of a new app that has been gaining some popularity lately!
