Inevitably, many college students wonder:\u00a0<strong>how can I stay organized in college and beyond?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With homework assignments listed on separate syllabi, exam dates spread throughout the whole semester, and project deadlines to be mindful of all along the way, it is easy to imagine how\u00a0students could quickly\u00a0become overwhelmed.<\/p>\n<p>One of the most difficult transitions I struggled with entering my first year of college was figuring out how to properly manage my time for assignments and work outside of the classroom. Fortunately, by the end of my first year, <b>I had created\u00a0a system that has been extremely helpful in staying organized ever since<\/b>. While it may not work for everyone, I figured I would share what works for me in hopes of making your life a little easier.<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\">How to Stay Organized in College<\/h1>\n<p>First, <b>I created\u00a0a <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">free<\/span> account on Asana.com<\/b>, a task managing\u00a0service\u00a0that is\u00a0<em>usually<\/em>\u00a0used for group projects to help teams keep track their work. In addition to my courses, I&#8217;ll usually throw in a few additional\u00a0projects for work related to my two jobs, a\u00a0project for each\u00a0organizations I am in, and one\u00a0final project for any additional responsibilities. Here is what here is an example of\u00a0my Fall 2015 dashboard:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-21896 size-full aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/therockysafari.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/screen-shot-2016-10-09-at-1-34-23-am.png\" width=\"245\" height=\"217\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b>Within each &#8220;project&#8221; (class) you can list out every assignment.<\/b> I am talking homework, readings, exam dates, project deadlines, absolutely ANYTHING you need to be reminded about as a particular date nears.
