From Wuxi, we took a short bus ride to the city of Suzhou.<\/p>\n<p>Suzhou is located just west of Shanghai. It is known for its rivers, bridges, and classical gardens. The first place we went to was the <a href=\"https:\/\/therockysafari.com\/2015\/06\/23\/touching-silkworms-and-touring-the-suzhou-silk-factory\/\">Suzhou Silk Factory<\/a>. The tour was so incredible that I wanted to devote an entire post to the amazing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.therockysafari.com\/2015\/06\/23\/touching-silkworms-and-touring-the-suzhou-silk-factory\/\">information<\/a> we learned about the production of silk.<\/p>\n<p>From there, we pond\n\t\t\t\t<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\n<p>The Lingering Garden occupies over 23,300 square meters. It is one of the four most famous gardens in all of China.\u00a0Our phenomenal tour guide\u00a0explained how the Lingering Garden was built for housewives\u00a0to enjoy since they had sensitive\u00a0feet and were unable\u00a0to venture far away from the\u00a0property.<\/p>\n<p>The garden was built with wonderful care\u00a0and creative intent to keep the wives from\u00a0becoming bored.
