I wanted to go SO BADLY but I wasn&#8217;t ready to travel internationally\u00a0on my own so I didn&#8217;t get to go. (Part of my China tour this summer will include a\u00a0stop\u00a0at the Exposition site so I actually will get to a see a few of the leftover pavilions in-person even if it is 5 years later!!!! Update: Sad news, I didn&#8217;t get to see the China Pavilion during my 2015 trip to China either because it happened to randomly be closed the day I was scheduled to visit it. The universe must hate me.)<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, today marks <strong>Day Uno<\/strong> of EXPO\u00a0Milano 2015!<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"704\" height=\"396\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/C54muxaLh8Y?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, I don&#8217;t see myself being able to attend this year&#8217;s EXPO\u00a0either. It&#8217;s in Italy which gives me an even greater reason for wanting to attend but due to my other trips this summer, the chances of me going\u00a0are slim to none.<\/p>\n<p>For those of you who are attending at some point between today to the end of October, I hope you have an amazing time. This year&#8217;s exposition theme is &#8220;<em>Nutrire il pianeta. Energia per la vita.<\/em>&#8221; Feed the planet. Energy for life.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"704\" height=\"396\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/OnWp8Bk7z5k?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Oh well. I guess I&#8217;ll do\u00a0what I did last time and experience the exposition through tourist&#8217;s\u00a0YouTube videos and blog posts. They typically do a really good job at capturing the essence of the expositions (from what I can tell,\u00a0anyways.) \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>ONE DAY &#8211; I WILL GO.
