“What was the last picture you took? Tell us the story behind it. (No story behind the photo? Make one up, or choose the last picture you took that had one.)” -The Daily Post
I took a photo earlier today of my new Bird Calendar! Purchasing a National Geographic calendar helps support their nonprofit mission to support vital exploration, conservation, research, and education programs. In other words, buying a bird calendar can help the birds. <3
That’s so sweet, Rocky.
Glad you think so! 🙂
Where’s the cat calendar??!! 🙂
I have it on the wall in my dorm room! 😀
LOL oh wait just noticed that you said “cat” xD
haha! Yeah, I wondered about that….
So one might say, “it’s for the birds”? Excellent choice. The same reason I get the National Geographic Photography Magazine. (I’m a very tactile (and old school) person.) Have I ever told you about the two birds I used to have?
No, I don’t believe you have! Which types of birds did you have? 🙂
I had a cherry headed conure when I was younger and I used to have an African Grey named Barney.
Ahhhhhh! Cherry headed conures are BEAUTIFUL. And I’m not sure if you knew this but African Greys are my favorite kind of bird (tied with sulfur crested cockatoos) and I want one of my own some day!
Yes, conures are beautiful. I loved Barney (the grey) He’d always whistle the theme from the Andy Griffith show. 😀
He did a lot of funny things.
Yeah, African Greys are incredibly intelligent and can be really talented at talking and mimicing sounds as it sounds like yours was. That’s part of why I’m so fascinated by them. Thanks for sharing that with me! 🙂
Sure. I’ll have to try digging up a picture of Barney somewhere. Another one… I used to go to the refrigerator for a soda and right before I’d open it, he’d make the sound of the can opening and then he’d go “glug, glug, glug, glug… Ahhhhh” He was so much fun.
