Daily Prompt: Local Color

“Imagine we lived in a world that’s all of a sudden devoid of color, but where you’re given the option to have just one object keep its original hue. Which object (and which color) would that be?” -The Daily Post

This prompt totally reminds me of The Giver. 🙂

This is such a tough question because I can’t justify picking “just one object” that deserves to keep its color over everything else in the world. Especially if it can only keep one specific hue of that color.

I’m going to go with a bright orange #2 pencil. It’s small enough that I could carry it around with me as a reminder that not everything is always going to be so black and white.
