Daily Prompt: Welcome, Stranger

“Think about the town where you currently live: its local customs, traditions, and hangouts, its slang. What would be the strangest thing about this place for a first-time visitor?” -The Daily Post

I’d have to go with how you can go from a city-like campus to a farm-like campus in less than 5 minutes by bus. The public transportation system is a big thing here.

  1. In the Washington, DC, metro area, it has to be the inexplicable traffic patterns. No matter where you need to go, regardless of the time, everyone else is trying to arrive there at the same time. It makes no difference if the means of transport is vehicle, subway or bus,
