“As a kid, were you happy or anxious about going back to school? Now that you’re older, how has your attitude toward the end of the summer evolved?” –The Daily Post
When I was in elementary school, I dreaded going back to school because it meant not being able to play Pokemon anymore. In middle school, I LOVED IT because I loved middle school. In high school, I enjoyed it even though I knew back-to-school meant dealing with a lot of school work again.
Now I’m in college and I have mixed feelings about going back. Part of me is excited to start taking classes again that interest me. Being in college means I’ll be free. No more hiding the fact that I’m gay and no more dealing with a family who is struggling to accept me for who I am. However, I’m also nervous about going back because it’ll complicate me seeing my boyfriend. We’re both going to be really busy as the semester picks up again.
