Daily Prompt: 190 Days Later

Last Updated on July 31, 2023

“Back on January 21st, we asked you to predict what day #211 would be like. Well, July 30th is that day — how have your predictions held up so far? If you didn’t reply to the prompt at the time, is this year turning out to be as you’d expected?” -The Daily Post

On January 21st, I posted a response to Daily Prompt: Predictions where the prompt was: There are 344 days remaining in the year. Describe what you’d like to be doing on day 211. (Hint: that’s July 30th.)

My Response at the time was:

Well, by that time, I’ll be on my summer break. Hopefully I’ll be working a summer job and driving my own car. I’d also like to see my blog thriving unlike last July when I hit my all-time-lull of 2013. Oh and if I choose to take calculus over the summer, I can only hope to find myself doing well and actually understanding it this time!

It is now July 30th (Day 211) and I’m excited to report back!

So yes. I am, in fact, on summer break! And now that calculus ended on Thursday, it FINALLY feels like summer vacation. 🙂 I understood calculus a lot better this time around and finished with a B!

Celebrating the end of calculus!

I did find a summer job and I like what I do there. I only work a few hours each week because I’ve been busy but that’ll change now that I’m done with my summer class. I’m not working today though.

Also, I’m super happy to see that I AM driving my own car again. I lost my car in September when a garbage truck hit my car but my parents got me a replacement so that I could drive myself to college for my summer class.

One thing I never would have predicted was that I’d find a really amazing guy this summer who I’ve really clicked with these past few weeks. We’ve been getting so close! <3

I’m seeing him later today so I guess that’s how I’m spending Day 211!

How did your prediction for day 211 turn out?

(Special thanks to the Daily Post for using my Daily Prompt idea today!)

  1. You seem a very decent bloke
    I didn’t mean to take a poke
at your fine character or name
when I your prompt chose to defame!
And so it seems to be my shame
that though I here aver and claim
my poem was innocent in intent,
    I fear I hurt a decent gent.
And so I beg your pardon, Rocky,
I didn’t mean to be so cocky!!!!!

P.S. And, congratulations on passing Calculus. I quit after Trig. So now who is the smart one?
