“Every city and town contains people of different classes: rich, poor, and somewhere in between. What’s it like where you live? If it’s difficult for you to discern and describe the different types of classes in your locale, describe what it was like where you grew up — was it swimming pools and movie stars, industrial and working class, somewhere in between or something completely different?” -The Daily Post
Rutgers University holds the title of being the most diverse college so as you can imagine, I see people from every social class under the rainbow. I grew up in-state so before coming to this school, I was still exposed to a very diverse population. In high school, you could always tell which kids came from less-fortune households, which people were in the middle, and which ones came from wealthy families.
I really love diversity. Many of my friends come from other countries. If New Jersey was 100% white, I’d be very sad. Diversity creates inclusive people over time which is great for minorities. I love hearing about people’s different backgrounds. What fun is life if we’re all the same?
As a native myself, I too love NJs diversity. How’d we end up with Christie as our governor? Haha!
Hahaha Right!? Who knows…..
