“You’ve been kidnapped and given a choice: would you rather be stranded on an island, dropped into an unknown forest, or locked in a strange building?” -The Daily Post
I wouldn’t choose to be locked in a strange building because it sounds too much like prison. I wouldn’t be able to handle being trapped in the same place day after day after day. Plus, are they going to feed me? What would I eat?
The forest is OK but not the best option. What if it’s really cold? I’d have to try to find some sort of shelter. Animals would be hiding and plants would be dead. Again, would I starve?
I’d have to pick being stranded on an island. I read Hatchet or whatever almost seven years ago along with watching TV shows with people stranded on islands so I feel like I’d have the best chance of survival. I’d look for shelter and probably have the best shot at finding something. Islands typically have strange plants growing so I’d hope they’re safe to eat. They also have interesting animals and fish out in the water so I’d have to try to capture some. I could write HELP and hope someone flying by sees it. You know, at least I could spend what might be the rest of my life at a place that is quiet and peaceful. I’d meditate on the island’s sand until the day I die or get rescued.
Perfect reasons for a sound choice. Looking forward to more such blogs.
Thanks, glad you think so! 🙂
