“Tell us about a conversation you couldn’t help but overhear and wish you hadn’t.” –The Daily Post
My sister wants an iPhone 5S for Christmas this year. Friday night, I was sitting in our family’s living room when I overheard my dad talking to my mom in the family room. He was asking my mom if they would be able to get my sister a smartphone for Christmas between our current upgrade eligibility and data plan situation and the general consensus seemed to be that they wouldn’t be able to do it.
I almost wish I didn’t hear the conversation because a few years ago when I wanted my MacBook Pro, my sister told me EVERYTHING she heard them talking about. In that case, things were more positive since they actually were planning on buying it so she was happy to tell me what she heard. In this case, I feel like I have to warn her not to get her hopes up too much because she might have to hang in just a bit longer before she can finally upgrade her phone.
