I feel like sharing a flashback with everyone! This is the story of something that happened to me during my first week of college here at Rutgers.
Anyone who is familiar with the Livingston campus probably knows that almost all of the buses on Livi follow the following route:
1. Livingston Plaza
2. Livingston Student Center
3. The Quads
… and then off to another campus the bus goes!
So it was after my class on Douglass that I got on the REXL. (Haha someone definitely already knows where I am going with this..) I caught it at College Hall, the very last stop before it goes to Livingston. Once it got to Livi, it made its way to the Livi Student Center. Now, at that point, the doors opened and STAYED open for a good five minutes or so! Around three of four minutes in, I began to wonder if I should just get off and walk back. The quads are a walk but not a long one by any means.
I had already waited this long so I figured it wouldn’t be long before the bus pulled out. And I was right. The driver walked back to his seat and began to pull away.
NOW THIS IS WHERE MY STORY GETS REALLY SAD.
THE REXL DOES NOT STOP AT THE QUADS. I’M A FRESHMAN FAILURE! IT’S LIKE THE ONE BUS THAT DOESN’T GO TO THE QUADS. HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT? I FELT SO SO SO DUMB.
Hahaha if only you could have seen the look of horror on my face as the bus casually drove past the stop and never actually STOPPED!!! I was going to have to ride the WHOLE ENTIRE BUS ROUTE AGAIN.
You know, the REXL is a LONG ride compared to the other buses too! I may or may not have shed a tear.
