“What do you love most about yourself? What do you love most about your favorite person? Are the two connected?” -The Daily Post
This is a characteristic that sometimes I LOVE and sometimes I HATE.
My ability to spend LONG PERIODS OF TIME ALONE AND STILL BE PERFECTLY HAPPY.
It’s great because it allows me to be super productive, to reflect on life, to relax, and to recharge. I never feel the urge to go out partying and I can’t remember a single time when I’ve felt lonely.
It’s also TERRIBLE because I sometimes wish I DID want to go out partying. I wish I could surround myself with people on the weekends and not find myself thinking in the back of my head about how much more I would rather be getting my work done or composing a well-written post for my blog. I’m not kidding. I WOULD RATHER BE DOING WORK THAN PARTYING. THINK ABOUT THAT. That’s how much I prefer my own company.
And please don’t think of me as some anti-social freak because I swear, I’m not. It’s all about being an introvert and only gathering energy when I’m all by myself.
My favorite person is NOT like me. She doesn’t need alone time as far as I know. She is an extrovert and while she goes home on most weekends, when she IS here at Rutgers, she usually goes out partying. But that’s ok! The reason why I love her is that we both are Business Students so we get to stress out together over our assignments in the library at 2 AM every night.
