“What do you love most about yourself? What do you love most about your favorite person? Are the two connected?” –The Daily Post
This is a characteristic that sometimes I LOVE and sometimes I HATE.
My ability to spend LONG PERIODS OF TIME ALONE AND STILL BE PERFECTLY HAPPY.
It’s great because it allows me to be super productive, reflect on life, relax, and recharge. I never feel the urge to go out partying and I can’t remember a single time when I’ve felt lonely.
It’s also TERRIBLE because I sometimes wish I DID want to go out partying. I wish I could surround myself with people on the weekends and not find myself thinking in the back of my head about how much more I would rather be getting my work done or composing a well-written post for my blog. I’m not kidding. I WOULD RATHER BE DOING WORK THAN PARTYING. THINK ABOUT THAT. That’s how much I prefer my own company.
And please don’t think of me as some anti-social freak because I swear, I’m not. It’s all about being an introvert and only gathering energy when I’m all by myself.
My favorite person is NOT like me. She doesn’t need alone time as far as I know. She is an extrovert and while she goes home on most weekends, when she IS here at Rutgers, she usually goes out partying. But that’s ok! The reason why I love her is because we both are Business Students so we get to stress out together over our assignments in the library at 2 AM every night.
