“Another school semester will soon begin. If you’re in school, are you looking forward to starting classes? If you’re out of school, what do you miss about it — or are you glad those days are over?” -The Daily Post
I am REALLY looking forward to my classes at Rutgers! I got my schedule on the 20th and I’m taking 16 credits. Hope that is ok because they recommend freshmen take like 12 or 13 I think. If anything, I could always drop a course.
I am so excited to be getting back in the groove of things. I always feel so lazy during the summer. I hate nothing more than wasting time. I want to be back in the classroom, taking notes, working on projects, seeing my friends, feeling like I’m actually learning.
Plus, I feel like so many freshmen are going to slack off and go party crazy, and for some reason. I don’t know what makes them think they can get away with that without their grades suffering.
I know I want to have a social life, maybe even meet a boyfriend at some point, but I’m making an effort to remember why I’m there: to learn. Call me a nerd or whatever you’d like but if I’m taking out loans like these, I want to get something worthwhile out of it.
